WHAT IS YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE?
We love to capture a variety of images for you on your wedding day. There are times where we will be capturing the moments in a documentary, fly on the wall, style, and then when it's time for your bridal portraits, or family photos, that is when it's time for us to then provide you with the guidance to be posed perfectly for your photographs.
We provide direction that will feel natural, so that you still feel like yourself and are comfortable. Real smiles and real emotion are what we are looking for, so we make sure that everyone feels at ease when they are in front of the camera. Sometimes it can just be the slightest tilt of your head, or movement of your foot, that can change a photo from a nice photo to something amazing. Even images that look like they are a candid moment may have had some level of direction from us, so that you are in the best light and we may have set up a game to get a natural reaction.
We also photograph with a combination of natural light and professional lighting. The amount of natural vs additional lighting can depend on what your favourite type of images are, and the locations that we are using for your photography. Love the natural, sun kissed look? Then outdoor locations with some beautiful backlight through some trees is the best spot for you. Really want to use a bar for a modern, stylised feel? That's when we bring out all our fun tricks to make you feel like you are on a fashion shoot!
what do we get in our wedding package?
We have a few wedding coverages that we use as a starting point when putting together the perfect coverage to suit your day. Every coverage includes a USB of high resolution digital files. These images are "print ready", with colour and exposure adjustment so they appear to the same standard as the images that you see in our galleries and on social media. We also include a "social media" set of images that are much smaller in size, and easy for you to share online.
Most of our coverages also include a bespoke wedding album. We absolutely love albums, you can't beat the tangible feel of flipping through the fine art paper pages looking back on the special memories held in there. We use Australian companies for these albums, like with all of our printing as well. The album included has a predetermined number of pages and a cover material, however additional pages and upgrades can be made for an additional investment.
You are able to print images from the USB yourself, but we can also do any printing for you, which we especially recommend for larger images as then we will do some additional retouching if required. If you are printing yourself, we cannot emphasise enough how important it is to use a professional photo lab. We also provide an online gallery where your guests can view and order their own photographs.
You will also meet with your wedding photographer from the start of the process, being a small boutique business it is so important to us to have that personal interaction with our clients in the leadup to your wedding.
If you have booked a two photographer coverage, your second photographer is also a highly qualified and experienced photographer who we work with on a regular basis.
how long does it take to get our photos?
Your USB of wedding images is ready approximately six weeks after your wedding. Once your wedding album is approved, this takes six - 10 weeks to be made depending on the final specs of your album.
We will of course have some social media sneak peeks ready the week after your wedding to share with your family and friends!
how far out do I need to book, and what is the process?
We can never predict how popular a date is going to be one year to the next. We have had clients book with us anywhere from two weeks to 2.5 years prior to their wedding date! Once you have your wedding venue and date locked in, this is the best time to secure your booking. If you are still unsure on little things like what time you would like reception coverage until, or if you would like parents album, this can all be confirmed closer to your wedding date. The main thing is knowing the date is yours, and that we will definitely be there to photograph your day.
Once we have confirmed the details of the wedding coverage for your day, we will need you to sign a booking form that confirms these details, and there is a $1000 reservation fee to secure your wedding date. The final balance is due closer to the wedding date.
do you travel for weddings?
Yes, absolutely! We love to photograph in different settings, and for weddings outside of the Perth metro area we can provide you with an individual quote on what the travel fee would be.
what kind of weddings do you photograph?
No matter the size or style of your wedding, we are there to photograph the love between two people committing to each other, and all the great moments that surround that. We photograph intimate registry office ceremonies through to 18 hour or multi day marathons with hundreds of guests. This is one of the reasons we love our job, being able to experience so many different cultures and styles!
We are very experienced in weddings with a lot of guests (300+), and who therefore need a lot of family photos. We know how to work through the family photo list efficiently whilst still making it enjoyable and stress free for everyone involved. We are often complimented on how quick and easy we make this part of the day compared to previous weddings family have been to!
Having photographed weddings of numerous cultures and religions, we know how to photograph and still show respect to the formalities and customs taking place.
